Terms and Conditions

Reserving your slot

Once we have received your booking request, we will check that the equipment requested is available and that the venue is suitable.  If your booking request is accepted, we will send you an invoice for the full amount including delivery.

A booking/admin fee of £30 is due immediately to secure the booked date, time and equipment.  Until this payment is received, we cannot reserve the equipment for your party.

This invoice will be sent to you via e-mail, and it is your responsibility to check that the details provided are correct.  Should any details need to be changed at a later date, we will issue a revised invoice.  Please contact us immediately (and at least 48 hours before your booking) if you have not received a revised invoice.

The booking/admin Fee

The booking/admin fee comes off the total and is normally non-refundable, as it secures your slot against other bookings and covers the cost of the admin and other preparation work that goes into your hire. We will, however, give a refund if we have to cancel for any reason. If you cancel, you can still carry the booking/admin fee over to another booking within 12 months of the original hire date. (Unfortunately this does not apply if booking is cancelled within 24 hours of hire slot.)

Cancellation policy

The full amount will fall due for bookings that are cancelled within 24 hours of the hire slot.

Delivery fee

Delivery is free within five miles of our HQ in Abercarn (NP11 5AJ).  Thereafter, the following fees apply:

5-10 miles = £6

10-15 miles = £12

15-20 miles = £18

20-25 miles = £24

Other fees

Additional fees apply for the following:

Venue access includes steps/steep slope/lift= £12

Extra cleaning on collection (if equipment heavily soiled) = £25

Late booking (after 7pm) = £25

Overnight hire = not available

Staff supervision (assistant) = £25/hour

Staff supervision (PIPA operator) = £35/hour

Note that staff supervision is only available for school/public events and does do not include event insurance.

Set up time

We will endeavour to set up the equipment before the party start time, but this cannot  be guaranteed due to unforeseen circumstances on the day, such as traffic, poor weather conditions and venue access issues.  The sooner we can gain access to the venue, the better.

As a general rule, we will require approximately 30 minutes to set up a bouncy castle on its own, 45 minutes to set up soft play and an hour to set up a full bouncy castle plus soft play package.

All equipment is cleaned on set up, and before we release the equipment to you we will go through the safety instructions and ask you to sign the hire contract to confirm that you are happy with the set up.

Prohibited items

Because of the risk of permanent staining, unfortunately we cannot allow the following on or near our equipment: face paint, silly string, party poppers, confetti balloons, glitter, craft materials and pens.  Food and drink is also prohibited, and shoes must be removed (although, for hygiene reasons, please keep socks on).

Hire Contract

By placing your booking, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined in the Bouncy Castle Hire Contract or Soft Play and Nerf Hire Contract.  You will be asked to sign a copy of this contract once the equipment has been set up to confirm that you are happy with everything and that you understand, and will follow, the safety instructions that you have been given.

Overdue Payments

All payments are due the day before hire, because by this time we will have loaded the hired equipment ready for the hire, prepared the contract and (where necessary) hired staff to assist.  If the final payment has not been made, unfortunately the booking will not go ahead and you will forfeit any payments that you have so far made.  For bookings of less than £200, typically we will not pursue the remainder of the payment, although reserve the right to do so.

Occasionally we will permit later payments.  This is often because the customer has not been able to provide adequate measurements for their venue, and as a concession we have agreed to calculate the final amount on delivery.  This is so that you are not billed for equipment that - for safety reasons - we are unable to provide.  Note that this is not industry practice, as it is always the customer's responsibility to ensure that the venue is of adequate size, but as a company we aim to be flexible.  We provide this service on trust.

If we have allowed extra time for payment, our expectation is that the final amount will be paid before the end of the party or by midnight the same day at the very latest.  If not, then the following late payment terms shall apply:

Any additional fees will be waived if you pay the original fee before the Letter Before Action, should it come to it.
